Sparking Future Tech Leaders: Our 2-Day Web & Game Dev Workshop a Huge Success!
This past week, 6th and 7th May, 2025, Fountain Private School, Kado, Abuja was buzzing with youthful energy as we hosted a dynamic and completely FREE 2-day workshop on web and game development. We’re thrilled to report that it was a resounding success, leaving both students and The Prep House team inspired.
Over the two days, bright young minds plunged into the exciting worlds of coding and digital creation. Day one saw them unraveling the fundamentals of web development, getting hands-on with HTML and CSS to build their very first web pages. The initial looks of concentration quickly turned into smiles of accomplishment as they saw their code come to life on screen.
Day two cranked up the fun even further as we ventured into the basics of game development. Students learned about game logic, character design, and simple programming concepts, even getting to create their own interactive mini-games with SCRATCH. The creativity and problem-solving skills on display were truly remarkable!
It was incredible to witness the sheer enthusiasm and quick learning abilities of these children. They collaborated, troubleshooted, and celebrated each other’s successes, embodying the true spirit of innovation. Many left with a newfound passion for technology and, we hope, a clearer vision of the exciting possibilities that lie ahead in tech careers.
We’re incredibly proud to have provided this opportunity for local students to explore these in-demand skills in a fun and supportive environment. A huge thank you to our dedicated volunteers and the enthusiastic participation of the children for making this workshop an unforgettable experience.
